Supervisor - Non Working

Due to continued growth we are looking to add a SUPERVISOR (non-working) to manage our INDUSTRIAL CLEANING teams for maintenance work and outages.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be based in Scunthorpe and work throughout the UK.

You will be:

A self-starter, reliable, able to work under own initiative, a good communicator and hard working.

You will have:

• Experience of shut-downs (Energy from Waste, Steelplants/Foundries and cement production plants.
• Current and Valid HPWJ Licence, High Risk Confined Space, CCNSG Safety Passport
• Experience of supervising a close team of HPWJ and Industrial Vaccumation Operatives in demanding working environments (Distinct advantage)
• Class 2 HGV, Full Clean Driving Licence, First Aid (Desirable)

You will be responsible for:

• Managing teams of industrial cleaners during busy outages and shutdown projects
• Driving standards, safety and professionalism at all times
• Organising work in accordance with Risk and Method Statements
• Deploying meaningful levels of supervision / leadership, ensuring Tool Box Talks are executed and delivered responsibly
• Ensuring that Plant and Machinery is checked before and after use. Asset housekeeping standards inside and out should be to a high standard.
• Ensuring that all required PPE is worn correctly, properly maintained and responsibly treated to ensure adequate levels of protection and cost spend
• Ensuring that behaviour of all person(s) in working team reflects positively on Intech Environmental Limited, and a can-do approach is embedded in the team by example
• Attending meetings; safety / operations / clients to ensure planning and communication needs are fully supported.
• Ensuring that Work Packs are fully completed before returning them to the Office, and that all person(s) complete timesheets accurately each week.
• Maintaining communication standards that keep both the customer and Intech Environmental Limited fully briefed.
• Ensuring that all required tools, PPE and Equipment is loaded and accounted for when mobilising, and when demobilising, all returned PPE, Tools and Equipment is returned to stock/storage, both clean and ready for use.

Remuneration

Base rate of £13.50 – £14.50 per hour based on experience.
Overtime after 8 hours and weekends.
Supplements for extra skills / licences, night working and working remotely
25 paid Holiday Days plus Statutory Bank Holidays, Pension
